Professional Team
Gaal “Joey” Schneider
- President
Gaal “Joey” Schneider is the President and Owner of Wave Electrical, a commercial and industrial electrical contractor based in West Palm Beach, Florida. He oversees the company’s operations and works closely with clients, project teams, and field personnel to deliver electrical solutions for commercial, industrial, and water and wastewater facilities. His work focuses on building reliable electrical systems through careful planning, coordination, and execution in the field.
Wave Electrical’s capabilities include medium voltage, instrumentation and controls, generators, pumps, underground duct banks, meter banks, lift stations, and other critical electrical infrastructure. Joey brings hands-on knowledge of electrical construction and a practical understanding of what it takes to manage complex projects from early planning through completion. His approach is centered on maintaining high standards, clear communication, and delivering dependable work for every customer.
Joey continues to help grow Wave Electrical by strengthening operations, developing relationships, and building a company focused on quality workmanship and reliable service. He remains involved in the day-to-day direction of the company and the continued development of its capabilities across commercial, industrial, and utility-related projects.
Outside of work, Joey values family and the opportunity to continue building a company that reflects the dedication and principles that have shaped his journey. As a first-generation immigrant who moved to America at a young age, Joey’s background has influenced his work ethic and commitment to building long-term relationships through hard work and consistency.
Geoff Parkins is the Operations Director at Wave Electrical, where he oversees the company’s day-to-day operational processes and the technology stack that supports them. Since joining the firm a year and a half ago, he has concentrated on tightening how the business runs — applying Six Sigma process improvement to refine workflows and spearheading Wave’s pursuit of ISO 9001 certification, a standard that formalizes quality and consistency across the organization.
He brings four decades in the electrical trade to the role, including twenty years of marine electrical experience — an uncommon depth to bring into land-based construction. His broader background spans project management, process documentation and improvement, Federal contracting, and proposal development, a combination that lets him connect field execution with the structure and discipline a growing contractor needs. His route into the work was an unconventional one, moving from network management roles at MCI and AOL into the marine electrical trade before applying it on the commercial and industrial side.
Geoff holds a Lean Six Sigma green belt along with several Smartsheet certifications, reflecting a working style built around documented systems and measurable improvement rather than guesswork. At Wave, that translates into operations designed to be repeatable, auditable, and ready to scale as the company grows.
He moved to South Florida in 2008 and is married with a grown son. Outside of work, he spends his time woodworking, brewing, and tinkering with classic cars.

- Director of Operations
Mike Carter
- Director of Construction
With over 30 years in the electrical industry, Mike Carter brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge and real-world experience to Wave Electrical, where he has served as Director of Construction for the past year. He leads the field teams and is always on point to help Foremen and Superintendents work through any issues that come up on the job — keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.
Mike started out in residential electrical work before quickly moving up to Foreman, then transitioning into the commercial side of the trade. He passed his Journeyman’s exam in 1999 and earned his Master’s license in 2000 — building a strong foundation that’s shaped his entire career.
For the last 20 years, Mike has focused on industrial electrical work, specializing in water and wastewater projects. That deep, specialized experience makes him a go-to resource for tackling complex technical and field challenges, and a trusted leader for the teams working under him.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his fiancée of 24 years, his English Bulldog, and his mother. He’s happiest out on the water, whether he’s fishing from his boat or anchored up on a sandbar soaking up the salt air.
Since joining Wave Electrical a year ago, Mike has quickly become an integral part of the leadership team — bringing three decades of hard work, steady growth, and a genuine commitment to doing the job right to every project he oversees.
Jason Rooney is chief estimator and pre-construction manager at Wave Electrical, bringing 20 years of electrical trade experience to a role focused on identifying, estimating and bidding work across the company’s project pipeline. He reviews plans, specifications, bid documents and related materials to determine project scope and requirements, then builds those findings into complete bid proposals.
Rooney’s background centers on commercial, federal, municipal and state work, with depth in wastewater and water treatment facilities. This specialization gives him a detailed understanding of the technical requirements, regulatory considerations and scheduling demands specific to public infrastructure and treatment plant projects. He is proficient with estimating and takeoff programs, including Accubid, Bluebeam, Planswift and Conest, applying them throughout the pre-construction process to keep estimates accurate and bids competitive.
He entered the electrical trade in 2006 working in the field as he began college, and has remained in the industry ever since, building two decades of experience before joining Wave. That combination of trade knowledge and estimating discipline informs how he approaches each bid: with attention to the specifics of a project’s documents and the practical realities of executing the work.
Since joining Wave in January 2026, Rooney has applied this experience to the company’s pre-construction efforts, working to identify opportunities and prepare proposals that reflect both the scope of the work and the standards required for public and commercial clients.
Rooney has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeastern University and lives in Louisiana with his wife and two, soon-to-be three, children.

- Director of Pre-Construction
Jennifer Carriker
- Director of Finance
Jennifer Carriker serves as Accounting Manager at Wave Electrical, bringing 28 years of experience in the accounting field to the company’s financial operations. Though she has been with Wave for six months, her background gives her an immediate, practical understanding of how a commercial and industrial electrical contractor runs day to day, and how its finances need to reflect that reality.
Jennifer is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Wave’s financial reporting, overseeing the systems and controls that keep the company’s numbers dependable. Her work includes managing cash flow and maintaining oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring that money moves through the business in a way that supports steady, well-informed decision-making. She approaches financial controls as a foundation for the company’s stability, not simply a matter of compliance, and she brings decades of accounting discipline to bear on forecasting and reporting.
Beyond her technical responsibilities, Jennifer brings a strong leadership presence to her role, working to bring clarity and structure to the accounting function as Wave continues to grow. Her long career in accounting gives her a steady, experienced hand, and she applies that background to build financial processes that are both accurate and sustainable.
Outside the office, Jennifer is a lifelong Florida resident. She is married with three sons, including a set of twins, and she enjoys skiing trips with her family whenever she gets the chance.
